Do dream dictionaries help interpret a symbol’s meaning? Many people have a dream, pick out the main symbol, and then look up the symbol in a dream dictionary or app to discover what the dream meant. Yet, is that interpretation correct?

Have you ever had dreams about shoes? Shoes are important to protect our feet from stepping on anything that could harm them; therefore, shoes are symbolic of protection. Dreaming about being nude in a dream is very common, especially in public. The number one dream meaning of being naked is vulnerability, which is logical since in everyday life we wear clothing to protect ourselves from being exposed to harm.
Snakes are a common symbol in dreams, yet there is no one size fits all meaning. Every person has their different life experiences, beliefs, traumas, obstacles, and ways of interacting with people that seeps into their dream life. This is why it’s important to figure out your dreams special symbols and unique interpretation.
The same is true of snake bites; for instance, a snake trainer will respond differently than a teenage girl. Your emotions also are a gigantic clue; who knows, maybe there’s a person who enjoys being bitten by a snake?
Whenever I write a blog on a specific symbol, I always remind my readers of how important your emotions are in a dream. Your feelings are key to understanding the true message, which is why I always ask my clients what their emotions in their dream were.
