There were few choices of dream journals to choose from back in the early nineties when I began journaling my dreams, which was either handwritten in a book journal or recorded on a magnetic tape recorder machine. How do you feel when a person you’re not interested in expresses an unwanted affection or sexual advance? Emotions could range from ego trip to disgust. Those feelings are magnified when you dream about a man or woman making a proposition for sex.
Did you know that when a person understands their dream symbols and meanings, it will change their life for the better? Every night our dreams give valuable information, which the majority of the population have no idea how to tap into.
You’ve awaken from an intense dream where you were with someone who is deceased. Was it just a dream or a visit? This happens more than you think; in fact, it’s really a common occurrence. Our departed loved ones visit us in a dream as it’s much easier for them to connect to us than when we are awake. People on the other side energies vibrate at a higher level since they’re not weighted down by the physical body low level vibration. We, Earthlings, dream in a higher frequency level, allowing the deceased to have effortless communication with us.
Let us go back to the question of whether it was an actual visit or just a dream. Usually a visit is a short dream without much action where words and/or feelings are being exchanged. While a regular dream often has action, symbolism, and might have a theme of unresolved issues. However; there are also dreams where there are mixtures of visits, signs, and activities for us to interpret the messages from the deceased. Frustrating, I know; yet who said communication with the departed or dream interpretation was easy. Even the most gifted medium receive messages that are open to interpretation or the client will only understand the meaning days, months, or even years after the reading.
Your dream about a snake awakens you out of a sound sleep; now you’re pondering what does it means. You reach for your dream dictionary or click the dream app on your smart phone, look up what a snake means, and choose the meaning that seems right. Is that what your dream truly means? Well, maybe, but probably not.
Dream dictionaries/apps are very general and a great place to start; however, there is a lot more work that needs to be done. If you were having health issues, would you look up your symptoms, and trust everything you read? More than likely, you would seek a medical professional for an exact diagnosis. Dream interpretation is much more complicated than the meaning of one symbol, yet let’s use the snake example of what you could find in the following reference materials:
